Northern Camp
The Northern Camp acts as a secondary clubhouse for the members of True Sport Hunt Club. A home away from home for the members nestled deep in the woods somewhere between Sudbury and North Bay it can accommodate nearly the entire club. Two barracks style bedrooms and a common area that acts a a meeting point for returning members.
From this gathering point the club can safely store their possessions, process their catch, and warm up during the colder months. Electricity powers lighting, freezing and communications systems. Radio, Television, and fellow members keep the facility lively even during poor weather.
The Kitchen/Galley on-site is member supported through their donations and hard work. It takes more than money to keep this facility operating, although it takes plenty of that too. The Northern Camp is an asset to the club.
The building is the third northern clubhouse on the same property. An interesting story accompanies each of the former buildings. The current camp was built in the early 1990s. Since then additions and donations have improved the safety, security, and comfort of the camp.
In order to make use of the building the members must contact the chair of the committee that oversees the clubhouse. This committee proposes and implements repairs expansions and replacements. Their hard work is documented in the photos taken of the site. Shareholders typically receive the option to use the camp before associate members, and only shareholders can build on site.
